Deathship One - Gamma Room

Image
One by one, the troopers appeared in new long room.  "What the hell is going on?  What just happened?  It's like we disappeared from one room and appeared here." said Pvt. Henney. "I know.  This is some very strange stuff." replied Pvt. Barton. "Shut up you two.  Keep alert and shoot anything that moves." yelled Sgt. Stryker. The next room the troopers entered was Gamma Room.  This was 18" by 3'.  There are four discs in the room that have the potential to move around.  If they touch a trooper, the trooper will take damage. "All right boys, we've been in this hell before.  There's that strange exit over there." pointed Lt. Williams.  "Let's move out, and get out of here." "Sir!  There are more of those strange alien machine things.  This isn't going to be a cake walk." said Cpl Smith. "Don't worry.  God goes before us." whispered Rev. Lacey. The first turn wasn't too bad.  The tr...

Deathship One - Alpha Room

Image
Rev Lacey was leaning up against a tree, resting.  The rest of the squad were resting likewise.  They were taking a break from their current mission and were deep in the Umbra Adâncă forests.  While resting, they were overcome by a bright light. The next thing they knew they were in some strange, large room. They had no idea how they got there, or what they were to do. The only thing they did know was they wanted to get out of this strange place.    All of a sudden, klaxons started blaring. They were so loud that Pvt. Henney's ears started bleeding. Some weird lights started flashing. Everyone had to close their eyes because it was so bright.   When they opened their eyes and could focus again, they realized that they weren't alone anymore... "Father, what's going on?" asked Cpl Smith.   "I have no idea, but our only mission right now is to get out of here." Maj. Lacey responded. Welcome to Deathship One by Joseph McCullough.  It's a ga...

AAR 3 - The Infected Trees

Image
The Commandos were able to determine what had attacked the small village they had previously scouted out.  It ended up being a nest of spiders.  And not just any type of spider; Giant Spiders.  This is Mission 1 Scenario 2 from the Rangers of Shadow Deep rule book.  I didn't have to change anything to make it work with Airborne of Shadow Deep. "Hey Sergent." "What?" "Have I ever told you that I hate spiders?" "Most people hate spiders, Captain." "No, you don't understand.  I REALLY hate spiders." It was obvious that the spiders had been busy by the looks of things.  There were cocoons all over the place.  The size of the cocoons indicated that the must have bodies inside them.  The team quickly moves up and engages a spider. The Captain and Sergeant move up to take on a spider. Cpl. Smith takes to the hill for a better shot at a spider. With out notice, the spiders quickly swarm Cpt. Ryker and Sergeant Stryker.  Without batting ...

New Buildings

Image
I finally painted up my last two Tabletop World buildings.  I love these guys stuff.  It is so detailed and gorgeous.  They are pieces of art in their own right. I love how the Noble House looks.  The stone base is so menacing.  There's no way a party of adventurers could break down the solid front door.  Of course, that door is on the other side of this picture... The fact that the door on the second floor of the Ruined Townhouse opens, is such a small yet awesome feature.  I'm so excited to get this building on the table. Here's a link to their site.  For what you get, their stuff is well worth the price.   https://tabletop-world.com/

AAR 2 - The Missing Informant

Image
The Reverend Lacey got notified that one of his informants went missing.  He and his commandos went to the small village to investigate.  Once they got there, they knew things weren't right.  There was no one in the village.  It was completely deserted.  The houses were all locked up as if the whole village decided to move away.  What could have scared them so bad to leave everything behind? I played the Scenario 1: Deserted Village from the main Rangers of Shadow Deep rulebook.  I didn't need to make any changes to the scenario to work with Airborne of Shadow Deep.  Instead of the group looking for another ranger, it was an informant.  I left Aventine's sword in the scenario.  I figure it will work fine in the Weird War 2 setting. And on with the report... The commandos arrived at the small village and started looking around.  There wasn't anything special about the village.  Some houses surrounded a central area, and copses ...
